Cavaleiro Sports' driver was in the first group that participated in TL2 at Interlagos and, with a lap of 1min39s887, could not be overtaken by his opponents

Marcos Gomes led the Stock Car TL2, held this Friday (29) at Interlagos. The Cavaleiro Sports pilot clocked 1min39s887 and was the fastest in the last practice before qualifying, which takes place on Saturday (30).
Right behind was Ricardo Zonta, from RCM Motorsports, with a time of 1min39s945, which he achieved after the checkered flag. Rounding out the top five on this first day at the temple of Brazilian motorsport were Nelsinho Piquet (Motul TMG), Sergio Jimenez (Scuderia CJ), and Matías Rossi (A. Mattheis Vogel).
TL1 leader Thiago Camilo closed in 10th place. The 2021 champion, Gabriel Casagrande, finished in 15th place and Rubens Barrichello, from Full Time, was 17th.
Stock Car will hold qualifying practice on Saturday (30), starting at 12:45 pm (Brasília time).GRANDE PRÊMIO will follow all the activities in Interlagos.

With the track already in better conditions and without the rain that tormented during TL1 earlier, the drivers were able to enjoy the track at Interlagos and make the best possible setup thinking about qualifying.
Felipes Massa and Fraga, shy in the first practice, soon set off as soon as the green light was given. Rookie Andi Jakos, from Full Time, was also able to do some laps and get a feel for the car he never had contact with.

Marcos Gomes, Felipe Fraga, and Guilherme Salas were the best of the first group, with the fastest time of 1min38s887 for the Cavaleiro Sports pilot.
The second group had as main highlights Felipe Lapenna and Nelsinho Piquet, who tried to beat Gomes' lap time until the end of the practice session, but were not successful.
