Saturday's fifth round gave Casagrande 43 important points and the dreamed-of first victory at Velopark. The pilot praised the team's work and the duel fought with Ricardo Zonta

Finally, the victory came. Gabriel Casagrande finally conquered his first victory at Velopark on Saturday (2) when he beat the favorite Ricardo Zonta, with whom he battled during the entire race 1 at the circuit.
The A. Mattheis Vogel driver didn't spare any compliments to the car that had an absolutely dominant performance in the race. "We had a wonderful car to conquer this victory. It was great to be able to achieve this victory here in Rio Grande do Sul, a place where I had never won before.
Casagrande talked about the strategy that was thought out with the team to score 43 points in the two races held this Saturday. "We thought about the two races, we even lost a little bit of time in the pit-stop, and that's why I held back a little in race 2," he said.

The victory in race 1 was not easy, and the battle with Zonta was from the start. After all, RCM Motorsport's setup for the race looked excellent. "It was very nice to dispute with him, a clean duel with an experienced driver. I did what I came here for today", said Casagrande.
The 18-point advantage to Daniel Serra after the end of the fifth stage is important and gives him room to search even more in the two races that will be held this Sunday (3). "It's a very good score. I hope we can repeat the performance tomorrow and shoot up the lead," he added.
