Thiago Camilo was the fastest in the first free practice held this Friday (29) at Interlagos, valid for the seventh round of the 2022 Stock Car season. With a very wet track due to the rains that hit São Paulo, the Ipiranga Racing driver posted a time of 1min47s958.
Camilo had in Nelsinho Piquet his main adversary in this first activity. The Motul TMG driver clocked 1min48s095 and was 0s137 seconds behind the leader. Matías Rossi, Rubens Barrichello and Felipe Baptista rounded out the top five. Only 18 drivers took a chance in the rain and made time in Interlagos.
Stock Car returns for TL2 this Friday, starting at 4:10 pm (EST). GRANDE PRÊMIO will follow all the activities at Interlagos.

There are two absences this weekend: Renato Braga, from RKL Competições, and Beto Monteiro, from Scuderia CJ, are not participating in the Interlagos round, in addition to Daniel Serra, season leader, who is competing in the 24h of Spa, in Belgium.
The first group that took to the track to do their fast laps had a hard time due to the bad weather. With about 15 minutes after the start of practice, only César Ramos, Rafael Suzuki, and Marcos Gomes took the risk.
With 12 minutes to go, Gabriel Casagrande, Felipe Massa, and Felipe Fraga also took to the track. In all, seven drivers set a time in the first part of TL1.
With the Interlagos track in better conditions, the members of the second group risked checking the circuit conditions in search of the fastest lap, like Thiago Camilo, but the rain persisted in delaying the drivers' entry.
With two minutes to go, the practice session ended with the red flag.
