From ninth to third place, in a race marked by a lot of heat, the rider of the Honda Laglisse team gave a show of riding the CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP motorcycle in the main category, Superbike.
This was the third podium of the season for Granado, who at the second stage of the Spanish Championship, in Valencia, confirmed second place in both races. "I felt very good on the bike, from ninth I recovered the third place. It was the best race of the year for me in the Spanish, even with second place in the Valencia races, here it was a very positive result. I'm very happy and I want to thank my team, sponsors, and everyone who makes this possible.
He changed his strategy after the opening race in Aragon, held this Saturday (July 23), when he confirmed ninth place. "We made a different strategy with the tires, I used another compound of the rear tire and managed to be much more competitive. The result is very positive for the team and for the championship, especially," recalls Granado.
With the same motorcycle, the Spaniard Tito Rabat, the Brazilian's teammate, confirmed his second place in both races of the round. Thus, he keeps the leadership in the Superbike category.
It is worth remembering that Granado did not compete in the two previous rounds of the competition, because it coincided with the MotoE calendar, another championship he participates in. Even so, with the points from Aragón, he rises from tenth to ninth place in the table, also according to the unofficial classification.
The sixth and penultimate round of the Spanish Superbike Championship will be held from September 1 to 4 at the Navarra circuit.
