Rins feels pain in wrist after TL3 and decides to leave MotoGP German GP

Although he has been cleared for the German GP, Álex Rins has decided not to continue competing this weekend. The Suzuki rider even made the practice sessions and would participate in Q1 of qualifying but, according to him, felt too much pain after TL3 on Saturday (18).

The Spaniard, who fractured his left wrist in the controversial accident with Takaaki Nakagami at the Catalunya GP, had already been released by his private doctor on Wednesday.

In the Catalunya race, Nakagami tried to gain a series of positions at the first brake, but crashed, hit his head on Francesco Bagnaia's rear wheel, caused the Italian to fall, and collected Rins on the way. The Japanese rider spent the night under observation in the ICU of a local hospital, but escaped major injury.

"I gave it my all. I came to Germany to try to race. I was cleared for the race but after the third free practice I felt a lot of pain in my left arm. We decided not to race so I could try to recover as much as possible and come back well in Assen. It's a pity, but I couldn't be fast, so we made this decision," he said.
