Miguel Oliveira made it clear that he still has nothing signed for 2023 and understands that KTM is still fighting to keep him in the team

Miguel Oliveira's future in MotoGP has all the signs of a soap opera. The drama happens because Jack Miller has been hired by KTM to be Brad Binder's teammate for the next two seasons in MotoGP. So Miguel is officially looking for a place to compete in the premier class next year, but at the moment he says nothing is set in stone yet.
"I don't have anything signed yet. Hiring is done at certain timings. There are timings to announce, to negotiate, and to sign. I'm not going to say which option is closer to reality. It is certain that all these rumors exist, because they have seen us talking to people. But that doesn't mean anything. It means that we are trying to clear the way to get to the track," he said, in an interview to the Portuguese channel Sport TV+.

"Only when we sign can we announce. Without contracts, there are no signings. That's what I can advance. i have to tell my fans that what I'm looking for is not a short-term solution. I'm looking for stability, for a place that will take me on for the qualities that are recognized in me," he added.
Many speculations have emerged as possibilities for the Portuguese rider. Tech3 even offered Oliveira a place to stay with the team, but the pilot was very direct and denied the offer. Another team that could be of interest is RNF, which said no last week and still looking for someone for 2023.
KTM, according to Oliveira, is still an open door. "You have to take into account that KTM still wants me very much and the truth is that they are making an effort to make that clear. That is also a possibility. But that's it. Nothing more than a possibility. I need to wait a little bit. We will come to an agreement next week, or in this month of vacations. Many drivers are in the same situation, talking to teams, but the decision takes a while to come," he closed.
