MotoGP makes 'MotoGP Unlimited' documentary available on Star+ for Latin America

After much criticism for producing a restricted-access documentary, Dorna, the World Championship promoter, announced on Wednesday (15) that Latin America will be able to access 'MotoGP Unlimited' through the Disney Group's streaming service

The documentary 'MotoGP Unlimited' will finally reach the Latin American public. After months of delay, Dorna, the promoter of the MotoGP World Championship, announced on Wednesday (15) that the behind-the-scenes documentary will be available on Star+ from June 22nd.

Produced in partnership between Dorna and THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO, the documentary was originally an Amazon Prime exclusive product, but this exclusivity resulted in access restrictions. In addition to Latin America, viewers in countries such as Indonesia and Australia were unable to access the production.

Now, however, Dorna is correcting part of the problem. Starting June 22, the eight 50-minute episodes of 'MotoGP Unlimited' will be available on Star+ in Latin America, showing behind-the-scenes footage of the 2021 season.

Unlike 'Drive to Survive', which pioneered behind-the-scenes portrayals of motorsports, 'MotoGP Unlimited' has not guaranteed a continuity. The team at THE MEDIAPRO STUDIOS is not filming behind the scenes of the championship, as the promoters have chosen to postpone the second season until 2023. The idea is to analyze the results of the first year and in the meantime release driver profiles and other documentaries.

GRANDE PRÊMIO contacted Star+ in Brazil, who confirmed the launch of 'MotoGP Unlimited' in Brazil on June 22.
