In a close race between Izán Guevara and Dennis Foggia in the second Moto3 free practice at the GP of Catalunya, the Spaniard emerged victorious once again to lead Friday's activities. He led TL2, it is true, but what guaranteed the leadership was his time in the morning session: 1min48s675.

Behind him came Daniel Holgado with 1min48s870. Rounding out the top three is Foggia himself, who also had his best time in the morning session: 1min48s962. Jaume Masià and Tatsuki Suzuki appear in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

However, because of the fracture he suffered in Mugello last week, the Brazilian was reevaluated and will not participate in the Catalunya GP.

The Moto3 class will set the starting grid for the Catalunya GP at 7.35am (Brasilia time).GRANDE PRÊMIO is following all the activities of the 2022 World Championship.

Daniel Holgado soon jumped into second place, 0s072 seconds behind Foggia. But the Leopard driver was getting better: 1min50s635. Only Guevara soon beat Dennis' time with 1min50s101, accompanied by Holgado 0s260 behind.

Thinking about the combined top-10 times, the afternoon session was still a long way off. However, the riders still had 30 minutes to improve - with the heat as a challenge, it is true. And with 20 minutes to go, nothing changed. Guevara was still far behind the rest of the pack, although Foggia was trying to get closer.

Dennis retook the lead with 1min49s998, just over 1s behind his time in the morning. He also left Guevara 0s103 behind. The Spaniard, however, took the Italian's place once again by dropping to 1min49s220. Behind them Tatay rounded out the top three.

The Aspar driver was the first to get within 1min48s: 1min48s979, 1s019 behind Foggia. In the end, the Italian even tried to regain the lead, but was 0s023 behind. Behind them came Tatsuki Suzuki, 0s083 behind Guevara. Only that, even leading in the afternoon, no one came close to his TL1 time. The Spaniard, therefore, was the leader on Friday (3).
