It is undeniable that Enea Bastianini is one of the big names to take over the vacancy at Ducati. Along with Jorge Martín, the two riders are the young talents of the Bologna brand. Only he is in no hurry, although he says that the next steps are still discussed. He knows he will continue riding an Italian bike, but there is no certainty in which team.
"At the moment I haven't signed a contract with Ducati, but I know how my future will be, I'm going to stay with them, although I don't know in which team yet," he said. "We will keep working. For me, the most important thing is to have a good technical package to be able to fight for the title. My future is not a problem, I have a very good bike and I have to be fast both in the factory and in a satellite team," he added.

'The Bestia's' season is quite remarkable. After all, he is the one who has won the most in 2022 so far: three triumphs - Qatar, Austin and France. Enea made his debut in the premier class in 2021, and he believes he has indeed been doing well. But he needs to get his consistency right in order not to make his year a 'roller coaster'.
"I have to be more consistent and regular. I do good races as a whole, but there are others, like Portimao or Mugello, where I crashed and abandoned. I have to keep my concentration during every lap," the Rimini driver acknowledged.
"At Le Mans and Mugello, I lost a bit of feeling on corner entry with the front end, but we understand why. It's difficult for me to stabilize myself on the bike and we have to work on the setup to solve that," he closed.
