Myles Rowe started at the front, dominated the action, and won race 1 of the USF2000 at Mid-Ohio. Michael d'Orlando was involved in an accident and was out of the top-10
The American Myles Rowe won race 1 of the USF2000 at Mid-Ohio, disputed this Friday afternoon (1). Starting from the pole position, the Pabst Racing driver led the race from end to end and conquered his third victory in the championship.
Australian Lochie Hughes crossed the finish line in second, but his Jay Howard Driver Development car showed an irregularity during the post-race inspection and he was disqualified. Pabst's Jace Denmark took second place, while New Zealander Billy Frazier finished third.
Jagger Jones was fourth, followed by Jacob Douglas, Christian Weir, Nicky Hays, Dylan Christie, Bijoy Garg, and Danny Dyszelski, who rounded out the top-10.
After entering the Mid-Ohio round as the championship leader, Michael d'Orlando had a disastrous day. After colliding with Billy Frazier on the first lap, he had to replace his front wing and finished the race only in 14th place.
The USF2000 triple round will be completed this Saturday with two more races. The first at 11:45 am (BrasÃlia time), and the second at 6 pm. Rowe took over the championship lead with 243 points, compared to 225 for d'Orlando and 217 for Denmark.
