Power gets hit by DeFrancesco and threatens: "Wait until I find him".

Devlin DeFrancesco hit the back of Will Power when trying to overtake and ended up throwing the Penske car into the wall, causing the Australian to revolt

Will Power had his GP of Elkhart Lake compromised in the opening laps after being hit hard by Devlin DeFrancesco. The Canadian started the race on red tires and tried to overtake the Indy leader, who started on black tires. On the first attempt, the two touched, an indication of what was to come.

Coming into turn five, Power held his ground in the middle of the track. DeFrancesco threatened a maneuver to the outside and then tried to get the car to the inside, but there was no room. The Canadian hit the back of the Penske, which spun and crashed head-on into the wall on lap 7.

Will lost his front wing, and the yellow flag was brought out for the third time at Road America. Devlin was punished with a stop-and-go, and the two fell to the bottom of the grid.

On the radio, Power was outraged by the Andretti driver's attitude, and threatened the Canadian: "Wait until I meet DeFrancesco. The race resumed on lap 11.
