Álex Palou's situation for the 2023 season gets more and more complicated. After denying a renewal with Ganassi and announcing a deal with McLaren, the Spaniard has now been sued by his own team. But, contrary to expectations, Chip Ganassi does want to keep the reigning IndyCar Series champion on its team, despite the terrible atmosphere.
The next day, a new chapter in the soap opera: Álex's lawyer released a statement saying that Ganassi was trying to prevent an opportunity for the Spaniard to race in Formula 1, and that they are willing to fight in court to ensure Palou's wish.
