Meanwhile, Chip Ganassi has already filed a lawsuit, according to the Spanish news agency .

Palou's representatives at Monaco Increase Management (MIM) are "disappointed" with Chip Ganassi for their attempt to block the transfer to F1.

MIM also expressed frustration with Ganassi's "continued comments about the case to the media."

"Alex has been giving everything for the team and it is unfortunate that they are trying to take this opportunity away from him," Palou's managers said.

"We hope the parties can resolve this amicably, but if not possible, we will settle the case in private arbitration as Chip Ganassi has requested."

As for the possibility of the F1 world seeing Palou on the grid in 2023, the Spaniard told the : "I'm not a lawyer, I'm a driver."
