Kiko Porto officially started the Mid-Ohio round of the Indy Pro 2000 with the right foot. The driver from Pernambuco participated in both qualifying sessions of the intermediate category on the Road to Indy, being the third fastest in the first session and the second fastest in the second session.
With this result, in both races this Saturday, Kiko will start in the third position in race 1 and in the second position in race 2.
"The car at Road America, the last round, was lacking pace, so we made several changes and fortunately we are already seeing results. The two classifications, especially the second one, were very good and it's great to line up the car right at the beginning of the grid," said Kiko, who is a driver for DEForce Racing.
"We had a strong pace in qualifying and now it's about hoping for a strong pace in the races as well. Mid-Ohio is a circuit I feel quite comfortable, so we will go in search of extracting the best possible result", added the driver sponsored by Banco Daycoval.
On Saturday, race 1 will be at 12:40 pm and race 2 at 6:55 pm, both in Brasilia time. The races will be broadcast on the category's YouTube channel, "Road to Indy TV".
