Romain Grosjean spared no words to describe teammate Alexander Rossi after their controversial touch during Indy's Mid-Ohio GP

Romain Grosjean left the Mid-Ohio GP angry with teammate Alexander Rossi. In the race held this Sunday (3), the Frenchman was involved in an accident with his Andretti partner in the final stretch of the race. When they were fighting for position in turn 4, Rossi ended up spraying and touching Romain's car, which ended up in the gravel box.
Interestingly, Grosjean eventually caused a collision with another teammate: Colton Herta. The Frenchman even received a penalty for touching the rear of the #26 car in an avoidable contact. In an interview with the Indy Star newspaper after the race, Romain apologized to Herta, but blasted Rossi.
"I need to apologize to Colton. I had a lot more grip than everyone else, so I just braked. I didn't think he would brake so early, so I tried to avoid contact. It wasn't good from my side, but I think that will be it for today. It's just that Rossi was an absolute idiot," commented Romain, who crossed the finish line only 21st.

After the race, crew chief Michael Andretti called an emergency meeting with the drivers to discuss their on-track behavior at Mid-Ohio. Rossi, who was punished for the contact with Grosjean, also caused an accident with teammate Devlin DeFrancesco afterwards, and was only 19th.
"It wasn't pleasant, but how nice that he [Michael Andretti] did it. I understand that he is frustrated and not happy with us. I don't understand why he [Rossi] did that. He's on hard tires, I'm on soft tires, on the outside, I have more speed in the corners. He did that on the restart. OK, maybe he slipped on cold tires. But he did it again on the next lap, and on purpose. My hand hurts and we lost the race," he concluded.
