Exclusive Autosport's Louis Foster won race 1 of the Indy Pro 2000 at Road America on Saturday (11). The Briton started third, but took advantage of a mistake by pole-position Reece Gold, of Juncos Hollinger, to take the lead on the first lap. Foster took no notice of his rivals and won comfortably, finishing the race 3s6 ahead of American Josh Green, of turn 3.

Britain's Enaan Ahmed took his third podium of the season with Juncos Hollinger in third. Jay Howard's Mexican Salvador de Alba was fourth, followed by his teammate, American Braden Eves, and pole man Gold, who finished sixth.

Colin Kaminsky of Pabst, Jonathan Browne of Turn 3, Jordan Missig, and Yuven Sundaramoothy, both of Pabst, completed the top ten. Brazilian Kiko Porto of DE Force finished only 14th, one lap behind the leader.

With the result, Foster increased his lead in the Indy pro 2000 series, with 216 points against Gold's 186. Porto is currently seventh, with 136. The category returns this Sunday (12), for race 2 at the Road America circuit, with Reece Gold again in pole-position.
