Second place in the Elkhart Lake GP, Marcus Ericsson has retaken the lead of the 2022 Indy season. Sunday's podium finish put the Swede from Ganassi back on top, now with a 27-point lead over Penske's Will Power.
The Australian Power arrived at Road America as the leader, but lost the lead after finishing only 19th in the race. The Penske driver was hit by Andretti's Devlin DeFrancesco in the opening laps of the race.
Winner at Road America and the only driver to win multiple times in 2022, Josef Newgarden gained two positions on the grid, jumping from fifth to third. Patricio O'Ward and Álex Palou, who both dropped out on Sunday, are fourth and fifth respectively.
