Ericsson increases his lead over Power after Toronto GP. Check out the standings
Fifth place in the Toronto GP pushed Marcus Ericsson further ahead of Will Power in the Indy title race. Scott Dixon and Álex Palou are highlights
Fifth place in the Toronto Indy Grand Prix, Swede Marcus Ericsson of Ganassi extended his lead in the Indy 2022 standings. He now has 351 points, 35 ahead of Penske's Will Power.
Australian Power was unable to make a comeback and finished only 15th at the Exhibition Place. It was only the third time that the 2014 champion was out of the top-10 in 2022, and not only saw the distance to Ericsson increase, but also the approaching rivals.
Sixth place in Toronto, defending champion Álex Palou overtook two-time champion Josef Newgarden in the standings, and moves back into third place, now with 314 points. Newgarden is tied with Scott Dixon, who, with the win in Toronto, reached 307.

Out of the top-10 for the third race in a row, Pato O'Ward is now sixth in the table, followed by Scott McLaughlin, Colton Herta, Felix Rosenqvist and Simon Pagenaud, who close the top-10.
Indy returns on July 23 and 24 with the double round at the Iowa oval.
