Ericsson holds lead after Mid-Ohio, but Power moves closer. Check out the standings
Marcus Ericsson maintained his lead in Indy, but sees approaching Will Power, who shortened the gap to 20 points after a podium finish at the Mid-Ohio GP. Scott McLaughlin gains positions
Sixth place in the Mid-Ohio GP, Marcus Ericsson held on to the lead of the 2022 Indy season. The advantage of the Swede Ganassi, however, decreased. He now has a 20-point lead over Penske's Australian Will Power.
Power, who started 21st, made a great recovery and finished third, reducing his rival's comfort at the top of the championship.
Winner at Mid-Ohio, Penske's Scott McLaughlin gained two positions, jumping from ninth to seventh. Josef Newgarden, Power's and McLaughlin's teammate, remained third, with Ganassi's Alex Palou fourth. Pato O'Ward, who abandoned with McLaren at Lexington, dropped to fifth.
