Álex Palou has an almost perfect season in Indy 2022, and bad luck in crucial stages and the touch of his teammate, Marcus Ericsson, doesn't take him out of the championship race
Current IndyCar Series champion Álex Palou did not have an easy weekend last Sunday (12) at Road America. The Spaniard did well in qualifying and started third on the grid, but a touch from his Ganassi teammate, Marcus Ericsson, took him out of the race and generated his revolt.
Álex is having an almost flawless season in 2022. He already has three podiums and six top-10 finishes and, if it weren't for bad luck, he could have won the Indianapolis 500. Qualifying is the only point for improvement this season, and the Spaniard seems ready to fight until the end for his second championship.
Ericsson's touch and bad luck in Indianapolis can't let us get carried away: Palou remains one of the great Indy favorites in 2022.
