In his first season in Formula E, Antonio Giovinazzi couldn't find himself until the second half of the championship and adds up terrible results with an equipment that doesn't help him
Antonio Giovinazzi's first season in Formula E has been anything but easy. In his first experience in the electric single-seater category, the ex-F1 driver and Ferrari Academy member has not been able to get a good result. Without a single point in the season, the Italian has been hampered by Dragon's set-up, but also has not shown the minimum of adaptation to the sport.
With difficulties to manage the car's energy, Giovinazzi also found himself hindered by having the least efficient set of the grid - Dragon is the only team to not score a single point so far this season. In addition, the narrow and undulating circuits of Formula E create an extra challenge for drivers who are used to competing on closed race tracks.

Despite all the difficulties, Giovinazzi still ranks far below Brazilian Sergio Sette Câmara, who has even managed to take Dragon to one of the qualifying knockout stages - for the first and only time this season. In the Jakarta eP, for example, the Italian tried a move on his teammate, but missed and spun on the first lap of the race.
With all this in mind, JP Nascimento comments in this week's video on Giovinazzi's situation in Formula E so far, and some of the reasons why the Italian has not yet managed to make the 'cat's eye' in the category.
