After another race at the bottom of the pack, Sérgio Sette Câmara highlighted Dragon's difficulty in controlling rear tire temperature and regretted the car's lack of pace
One more weekend of Formula E went by with the Jakarta eP last Saturday (4), and again Dragon presented the worst performance among the 11 teams that form the grid of the category. Worse for the Brazilian Sérgio Sette Câmara, who despite showing total adaptation to the modality and even achieving some results that the team's car shouldn't even dream of - such as qualifying for the knockout stage in Berlin -, was again the last place among those who completed the race.
The Brazilian said that the difficult weekend started even before the race, more specifically in qualifying, when the mineiro felt he could have achieved a better result than the ninth place of his group, which ended up meaning the 17th starting position. However, needing to push to the maximum to extract performance from the car, Sette Câmara ended up making a mistake and couldn't improve his time.
"It was a complicated day, I could have done a better qualifying," Sette Câmara lamented. "I was ninth in my group, I tried to take my chances. I was fifth in the first outing, in the second I tried to risk a little more and ended up making a mistake, I fell to ninth in the group. I think I could have been fifth or sixth. It was a shame, but it happens," he said.

About the race, again Dragon failed to present the minimum expected competitiveness. To have an idea, it was possible to see Antonio Giovinazzi completely away from the pack at the beginning of the race, saving his battery and waiting for a safety car that never came. At the end of the race, the Italian abandoned the race.
Sette Câmara, in turn, highlighted one of Dragon's main problems this season: overheating. Besides the car's battery, one of the worst of the grid and known for its low efficiency, the Brazilian driver highlighted that it is difficult to control the temperature of the rear tires, and the strong heat of Jakarta made the problem considerably worse.
"In the race, coming from 18th [he started 17th], I had no rhythm. No rhythm. We usually suffer in races anyway, but here [in Jakarta] it was much more than usual," he admitted. "The asphalt is very aggressive, the ambient temperature, the sun on the track was very strong, and it seems that our car overheats the tires more. This is one of the reasons we always suffer in the race, it's not only the battery," he pointed out.
"People say: 'you have a very bad battery', but it's not only that," explained Sette Câmara. "The rear tires suffer a lot in our car, and Saturday was the worst day to have this kind of characteristic. So, let's go to the next one. Marrakech will also be very hot, so we will have to study as much as possible. If not, it will be another same weekend.
