Sérgio Sette Câmara once again extracted as much as he could from Dragon to get fifth place - which became fourth - on the starting grid, but the car's deficiency in race pace prevented the Brazilian from scoring points

The New York eP reserved extreme and opposite emotions to the Brazilian Sérgio Sette Câmara, who had an accident on the first lap of Saturday's (16) qualifying race - he didn't even take part in the race, since Dragon couldn't fix the car in time - and got an unexpected fifth place on Sunday's starting grid.(16) - he didn't even take part in the race, since Dragon couldn't fix the car in time - and conquered an unexpected fifth place on the starting grid for Sunday's race. Fighting against an equipment clearly below the others in Formula E, the Brazilian thanked the team for their work and said he was happy with what he managed to do, leading the team to the knockout stage for the second time.
"The strong point of the day was qualifying, which we managed to get fifth," said Sette Câmara. "I ended up starting fourth because a driver was penalized, and that was great, because it's the team's home race. I want to thank them for giving me such a competitive car in qualifying. I was very happy with my lap, with my personal performance," he celebrated.
The second race of the weekend, however, reserved a different story from the classification - and the same one Sette Câmara has become used to in the current season: the car's lack of race pace. Despite managing to hold onto the top-5 for much of the race, the Brazilian was gradually being overtaken by his opponents, who are able to do far superior power management without Dragon's problems.

"In the race, I did the best I could to maintain the position. I was fourth, fifth, for a good time," he scored. "Until halfway through the race, I would say that we were doing very well, there in the scoring zone. But then our car starts to show its weakness, which is race pace, and we start to fall until we finish there at the back", regretted the Brazilian.
Finally, Sette Câmara tried to look at the glass 'half full', highlighting some qualities that could be seen in New York - mainly the qualifying pace. Besides that, the Brazilian argued that the characteristics of the next circuit, in London, do not favor a great number of overtaking races. So, if he can again repeat a good performance in qualifying, the driver can try to get the team's first points of the season.
"But unlike the last few stages, where I had nothing positive to look at, here you had qualifying, the start of the race as well," he evaluated. "Looking at London, which is a very difficult track to overtake, it could be interesting to qualify well. Who knows, it may be a track where we can maintain our position because it has this characteristic of being difficult to overtake," he concluded.
