After another race in which he qualified well, but didn't have the necessary equipment to compete with his rivals, Sérgio Sette Câmara admitted his dissatisfaction with the low performance of Dragon's car

Another round of Formula E took place last weekend, and once again history was repeated by Sérgio Sette Câmara. The Brazilian, who has been achieving good results in the standings and has shown speed even with a powertrain far below the others, once again got a good starting position - in 12th place - and had to watch all his rivals pass him until the end of the race, in which he was the last among those who completed the race.
The mineiro explained that the good starting position was even detrimental to Dragon's aspirations, since the low efficiency of the battery did not allow him to battle with almost any rival. In the attempt to hold the positions, the car wastes even more energy and reaches the end of the race without battery, which made Sette Câmara finish behind even Antonio Giovinazzi, his teammate and clearly not adapted to Formula E.
"It was a very difficult race," he said. "We qualified well, we came 12th, and especially on those days where you end up qualifying well, which are the most difficult to run well - believe it or not. Because you can't hold positions, the other drivers start to overtake you, and you have two options: either you let them pass you, you lose position and you lose time too - because when they pass you lose time - or you try to fight and end up consuming more [battery] than you should, and in the end they pass you anyway," added a frustrated Sette Câmara.

Clearly frustrated with another race without being able to compete with the other rivals on the grid, Sette Câmara highlighted the good qualifying he did by securing 12th place, but admitted that with the equipment he has in hand, it might have been better to start even from the end of the grid to be able to manage the energy throughout the race.
"In short, you end up dropping to last at the end of the race with our current pace, without any energy, without a battery," lamented the Brazilian. "It's almost better to start last, because you are there managing since the beginning. So it's complicated. It's not a race that gives pleasure to do", criticized Sette Câmara.
"But I leave here again with the feeling of accomplishment, I gave my best, I got the most out of the car," he highlighted. "But it's impressive to be 0s050s behind in the qualifying duels, to look competitive, but come into the race and not have the slightest rhythm. So we have to do something," he finished.
With three more stages to go, each with two races, Dragon remains the only team not to have won a single point in the current season. Formula E returns in two weeks, with the eP New York double-round scheduled for July 16-17.
