The Swedish duo of Johan Kristoffersson and Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky of Rosberg X Racing finished the qualifying for the Sardinia, Italy round in the lead
Rosberg X Racing's Swedish duo of Johan Kristoffersson and Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky finished qualifying for the Sardinia round of Extreme E in front, thus securing a spot in one of the two semifinals that take place this Thursday (7).
Carlos Sainz and Laia Sainz of Acciona Sainz finished second, with Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb of Lewis Hamilton's X44 team in third. Also advancing directly to the semi-finals were Andretti's Cattie Munnings and Timmy Hansen, XITE's Tamara Molinaro and Timo Scheider, and JBXE's Hedda Hosas and Kevin Hansen.
The top two finishers from each semi-final advance to the final. The four pairs that finished below sixth place will compete in the Crazy Race, and the winner advances to the final, which will also be contested on Thursday.
In the Extreme E 2022 season opener, Kristoffersson and Åhlin-Kottulinsky won in the Saudi Arabian desert. In addition to Thursday's race, the category will have a second race next Sunday (10) at the same venue.
