Envision opted to change the battery and radiator in Nick Cassidy's car, who had won the pole-position and will now have to start from the back of the grid in New York

Pole position in both races of the Formula E weekend in New York, Nick Cassidy will start at the bottom of the grid this Sunday (17) after Envision chose to change the battery and radiator in the New Zealander's car. Besides the penalty of losing positions on the starting grid, the driver will also have to complete a drive-through throughout the race.
The detail is that the team made the changes in Cassidy's car before qualifying. Even so, the race direction once again took too long to make a decision and only announced the punishment after the New Zealander had secured his second pole position of the weekend.
As a result, second-placed António Félix da Costa will have the opportunity to start from pole position in New York with Alexander Sims alongside him, while Sérgio Sette Câmara also gained a position with Cassidy's crash and became fourth on the grid - now joining André Lotterer on the second row.

The weekend was looking promising for Cassidy, who won the first race after the chaos that took over the race with the arrival of rain - and the traffic jam that defined the race. The New Zealander again proved to be the fastest on the track on Sunday and had everything to seek his second victory in the category, but the team's plans will make Robin Frijns' teammate have to climb all the way back up the field.
Race 2 of the Formula E series in New York is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm (EST), with live broadcasting on TV Cultura.
