In the last seven races in the Formula 2 2022 season, Enzo Fittipaldi has taken Charouz to the scoring zone in six occasions and already has a podium in his account. And the Brazilian believes he can achieve even more this year, explaining that qualifying will be the key to even fight for victories in the races that still remain.

Fittipaldi told the official Formula 2 website that the beginning of the year was more complicated because he still felt he was not in his best physical shape - a reflection of the serious accident he suffered in Jeddah last year. As the races went on, the driver's performance improved, along with the team's.

"Since the podium [in Imola], we have made a big step, and I am quite happy with that," said Fittipaldi. "In Barcelona, we finished twice In the points, and in Monaco, twice in the top five," enumerated the driver, who although he appears eighth in the Drivers' World Championship, is only nine points behind fourth-placed Logan Sargeant.

When talking about his ambitions for the rest of the year, Fittipaldi said he is "100% sure" that Charouz has the pace to line up in the top ten and fight for points. "It's just a matter of consistency, because there will be races where we will get some podiums, we have to be there."

"If you are always in the top ten every weekend, you are in the cake, and that is very important and it starts in qualifying. We managed to qualify in the top ten, and I'm sure we will fight for a lot of wins and podiums because we have a very good race pace. We just have to keep up this good momentum in the other stages. There is still a lot to come, there are nine rounds to go," he pointed out.

Finally, the driver emphasized that he feels both he and the team are on a crescendo. "We are just getting stronger, and the goal is not to stagnate. We want to continue with this momentum and pace and fight for wins," he finished.
