To GRANDE PRÊMIO, Enzo Fittipaldi said that Charouz has been growing in 2022, but that winning is something that still depends on racing circumstances and an improvement in the standings

The podium in the Imola round and the good sequence of five races in the points showed that Enzo Fittipaldi is ready to achieve even better results in the 2022 F2 season. However, the Brazilian prefers to keep his feet on the ground when the subject is victories, emphasizing that, at the moment, the goal is to put the Charouz car in the points zone in all the races that still remain in the year.
To GRANDE PRÊMIO, Fittipaldi talked about the partnership with the Czech team, which began in 2021, when he moved from F3 to F2 to take David Beckmann's place. To follow the team's work more closely, he decided to move to Prague, the Czech capital, and has been instrumental in Charouz's progress this year.

"Our main goal in racing is still to get points in every race we are competing in. It was with this mentality that we grew in the competition, so there's no reason to abandon this idea now," the Brazilian told the GP.
In race 2 in Emilia-Romagna, the third double round of the year, Fittipaldi was one of the drivers who took advantage of the safety-car still in the sixth round and stopped to change tires - a strategy also adopted by the race winner, Théo Pourchaire. With this, the pilot managed to climb 13 positions on the grid and crossed the finish line in a great second place.
"It was an incredible weekend we had in Imola," Fittipaldi recalled to the GP. "It's a track that I have experience since Italian F4, so I had already competed there in several categories, and the style of our car matched well with the track as well," he stressed.
"I believe that we will be able to do well on the more heavily trafficked tracks, and this result also shows Charouz's growth compared to what the team did last season," continued the driver, who is responsible for 42 of Charouz's 46 points in the World Championship so far. "There was a development for me, for the car, and for the team as a whole, especially in the question of strategies," he stressed.
After the Azerbaijan GP, Fittipaldi will have Zandvoort and Abu Dhabi as new and, therefore, challenging tracks, in his opinion. Monza and Spa-Francorchamps, on the other hand, are circuits well known to the Brazilian, so he believes that experience will be a factor in the fight for points. "I believe we will fight for good results in Hungaroring as well, where I was second in F3 in 2021."
"Winning still depends on many race circumstances, and we would also need to evolve the car in qualifying to be able to start more often among the first. If it depends on me, for sure we will always do our best and try to win if it is possible," concluded Fittipaldi.
