With the fourth place in race 1 at Silverstone and the second position in the main race, held this Sunday (3), Théo Pourchaire managed to close the gap to Felipe Drugovich by seven points in the 2022 F2 World Championship. But the Brazilian has nothing to complain about, as he followed his main rival in the fight for the title closely and, with the fifth and fourth places achieved at the weekend, he leaves England still 42 points ahead of the ART Frenchman.

Logan Sargeant also leaves the British round on a very positive note. The Carlin driver made his pole-position for the main race count and won, securing 27 points. With two more points in the sprint race, the American reached 88 points and took third place, overtaking Jehan Daruvala (Prema), who reached 80 with the seven points he earned this weekend.

Liam Lawson was another who moved up a few positions in the World Championship thanks to his podium in race 2 at Silverstone. The 15 points earned the Carlin representative fifth place in the standings, with 59 points.

Following him with the same amount of points are Marcus Armstrong and Jüri Vips. Jack Doohan, winner of race 1 in England, added 12 points in total and gained a place in the World Championship standings, appearing eighth with 57 points.

The podium in the sprint race gave Enzo Fittipladi six points, but the Brazilian hit the crossbar in the main race, finishing only 11th, one place from the scoring zone. Once eighth, he is now ninth in the table, with 56 points - just one behind Doohan.

Dennis Hauger was the worst loser of the British round. The Prema driver did not score any points during the weekend, and remained with the 55 he had earned until the last round, held in Baku. As a result, he dropped from fifth to tenth place.

It is worth noting that from fifth place (Lawson) to 11th (Frederik Vesti), the difference is only five points, which shows the balance in the middle platoon of the F2 2022 grid.

The eighth round takes place next weekend in Austria. GRANDE PRÊMIO is following all the activities of the 2022 F2 World Championship.
