Van Amersfoort's Belgian hit the 12 points on his license for causing the incident with Olli Caldwell in F2 at Baku on Sunday. Roy Nissany and Jack Doohan lose three grid positions to Silverstone

Amaury Cordeel has been suspended from the next round of Formula 2 at Silverstone Circuit in June. The Belgian Van Amersfoort driver reached the 12-point limit on his license for his collision with Charouz's Olli Caldwell during Sunday's race (12), won by Dennis Hauger.
Cordeel suffered the other 11 points of punishment for a range of infractions such as not slowing down enough for yellow and red flags in the race in Jeddahignoring track limits in Imole and not being in the correct grid position during the opening lap in Barcelona.
The stewards decided that car 14 (Caldwell) was behind car 25 (Cordeel) between turns three and four. Olli chose an outside line and Amaury did not see Campos' car to his left, making contact and forcing both into the wall, so the Belgian was found guilty of causing the collision.

Cordeel is excluded from the seventh round of the F2 season and his punishment is in accordance with Art. 39.3 of the category's Sporting Regulations. The Van Amersfoort driver has had a bad year in the grassroots category, with no points and in the last position of the championship.
Roy Nissany and Jack Doohan have also been punished for Silverstone with three grid positions and one point on their license, as they were deemed responsible for the hits on Cem Bolukbasi and Liam Lawson, respectively. The contact between Hitech teammates Marcus Armstrong and Jüri Vips did not result in punishment for the drivers.
