Amaury Cordeel looks set to break all sorts of records in his time in F2. After taking a rare race ban for excessive punishments in just six rounds, the Belgian is back with a bang: on Saturday (9), he already had 4 more points on his license.

Yes, Cordeel needed only 12 races to get 12 points on his license and be suspended, but his comeback was much livelier, with 4 punishment points in only 1 race. In all, there were two incidents that took the Van Amersfoort driver to the commissioners.

The first, considered a serious infraction, was overtaking under a double yellow flag on the return lap to the pits after the end of the race. The second, lighter and kind of general of much of the F2 grid this Saturday, for disrespected track limits. 3 points on the first occasion, 1 point on the second.

Amaury, then, returns to the grid with 1/3 of his license already filled with punishments. The situation can already be considered critical, after all, there are still six more rounds to go besides the main Austrian race on Sunday.

Cordeel, however, is not the one with the rope around his neck the most. Campos' Olli Caldwell also received one point of punishment on Saturday, bringing his total to an incredible 11 points, one point short of a race ban. Coincidentally or not, Cordeel and Caldwell are two of only three starters without points this season.
