The Chinese Alfa Romeo driver attracted the most attention initially for his spectacular first-lap crash, but he insists he is "fit and ready" for the Austrian GP.
In fact, Albon's condition after his crash caused more concern. The Williams driver even spent the night in hospital.
"The first impact on the guardrail was very strong," revealed Jost Capito, the team boss. "Alex complained of back pain, and in cases like this, the doctors don't leave anything to chance.
According to Capito, Albon has already been cleared for the Austrian GP, but he added, "We still don't know if we will be able to equip both cars with all our new parts just a few days after the accident."
