Williams goes to Silverstone with a redesigned chassis and also a new floor. But only Alexander Albon will take advantage of the upgrade package that seeks to improve the FW44's aerodynamic pressure.

Williams is another grid team that will test updates during this weekend at Silverstone, but the changes will only be present in the FW44 driven by Alexander Albon. The Thai driver will run with a redesigned chassis and floor to increase aerodynamic pressure.
This is Williams' first major upgrade for the 2022 Formula One season, although it has already made minor changes to the car throughout the races so far. The British team is hoping that the new aerodynamic package will kick it out of last place in the Constructors' World Cup - in nine rounds, there have been only three points earned, all by Albon.

"We have an updated aerodynamic package for this weekend just for Alex's car and we will see if the changes will perform as expected," said Williams performance director Dave Robson. "The chassis and floor form the basis of the upgrade, and the aim is to efficiently increase the car's aerodynamic pressure," he added.
There are a lot of expectations surrounding the British GP, not only because Silverstone is an F1-friendly track, but also because it is the home race for the base in Grove. Robson gave more details about what Williams is looking for with the aerodynamic changes.
"We are looking forward to our home race and also to understanding the new parts. They should change the balance and handling of the car, and it may take a little time for the drivers to get the most out of the changes.
The weekend activities at Silverstone, which hosts the tenth round of the 2022 F1 season, start on Friday (1), with free practice. GRANDE PRÊMIO will follow LIVE and IN REAL TIME.
