In last place in the Constructors' World Championship, Williams is preparing a more conservative stance when it comes to launching updates to the FW44. The team has scored only 3 points in the 2022 Formula One season, all at the hands of Anglo-Thai Alexander Albon.

Dave Robson, performance director, cited in Azerbaijan that he doesn't have something big for the new car yet, but suggested drivers Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi. more caution to avoid accidents.

"Now it's a challenge to manufacture the parts as quickly as possible. We expect help from the drivers in not damaging the car tomorrow, because it's certainly something you need to be careful about. The package is on its way. About when we will deliver it, it will become clearer in the coming days," he stated.

Robson also cited that Williams is committed to taking the car's development on a different path. Recently, Aston Martin released updates to the AMR22 and made a jump in the championship to 15 points.

"We started from the front wing and worked our way up. I'm sure there are different ways to do it, and we don't know which is the best. In terms of the short term and the rest of the season, we will be committed to a different concept, noticeably different, than what we see now," he added.

The next race of the 2022 Formula One season is precisely the Canadian Grand Prix, Latifi's home race, which takes place on the 19th at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal.
