Michael Schumacher's former manager has asked the family of the Formula One legend to finally tell "the truth" about his physical condition.
It has been almost a decade since the German suffered a fall while skiing with his son Mick in France, hit his head and suffered brain damage. He has not been seen publicly since.
"It was a huge pain for me," Willi Weber, his former manager, told .
"I tried hundreds of times to contact Corinna and she didn't answer. I called Jean Todt asking if I should go to the hospital and he told me to wait - it was too soon."
"I called the next day and no one answered. I didn't expect behavior like that and I'm still angry about it."
"They kept me away saying it was too soon. Well, it's too late now, it's been nine years. Maybe they should just tell the truth."
"I could understand the situation initially because I always did everything I could for Michael to protect his private life. However, since then, we have heard nothing but lies from them."
Weber says he still talks occasionally with Ralf, Michael's brother.
"Years after the accident, I told myself to just take care of the family because I couldn't change things. He was like a son to me. To this day it is painful for me to talk about it."
