The format of the Formula One weekend is set to change starting with the British GP.

Since the start of the 2022 season, the drivers' press conferences have been held on Friday morning before free practice.

They are now to be held again on Thursday, with the press conference taking place 23 hours before the start of the first free practice session.

However, the change needs to be approved by the FIA's World Motor Racing Council.

If this is confirmed, the press conference would last an hour on Thursday and be attended by 10 drivers. It would be divided into two half-hour sessions with five drivers each.

Drivers who are not present will be required to attend a media session organized by their team on Thursday.

The team managers' conference is expected to continue on Saturday morning. It also lasts an hour and is attended by six bosses and ends at least an hour and a half before the start of the third free practice session.
