Journalist Ted Kravitz is seeing signs that Sebastian Vettel will reject a contract renewal with Aston Martin and retire.

"Aston Martin wants him to stay and I understand they've made him an offer," Kravitz revealed on his show on .

"I just don't know if he will accept. Sebastian seems to be behaving in certain critical ways - taking his kids to the track in Austria, for example - that suggest to me that he is doing his last year in Formula One."

"See if you can notice over the rest of the season if Sebastian is behaving in a way that indicates that he is thinking 'you know what? This is going to be my last year'."

"And with all the old cars he's been driving recently, like the Williams at Silverstone, I'm questioning whether this is going to be his last year and he's already made the decision. But we'll see..."

Lance Stroll's seat at Aston Martin is secure, but it is unclear who could replace Vettel in 2023 if he decides to retire.

Pierre Gasly and Daniel Ricciardo have been mentioned as potential options, but both have confirmed their commitment to their respective teams, AlphaTauri and McLaren, for next season.

Aston Martin has Nico Hulkenberg as a reserve driver. He replaced Vettel at the 2022 Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs when the four-time world champion was unable to race due to covid.
