Aston Martin, as well as the other teams in the Formula 1 grid, waited for the weekend at Silverstone to promote some updates to the car, but the rain during the first free practice session on Friday (1) hindered the English team's work. Sebastian Vettel even managed five laps in TL1, but regretted a day limited by bad weather in England.

In the second session of the day, the German managed to do better, but was only 12th on the timesheet, with a best lap of 1min30s057. After the track activities, he explained that he still had problems at the beginning of TL2.

"It was a busy day, with mixed weather: a bit of rain in TL1, then the normal windy conditions that you expect at Silverstone. But all that limited what we could have learned," Vettel lamented. "We were also stopped for a while in the afternoon because of small problems that had to be solved during the session," he explained, without giving details about what had happened to the AMR22.

"It was very limited track time, we didn't do all the work that would normally have been done on a Friday. It's a bit frustrating, especially since we have updates for this weekend, so we'll try to catch up tonight and tomorrow morning to be ready for qualifying," concluded the four-time champion.

The session that sets the starting grid for the British GP takes place this Saturday at 11:00 am (Brasília). GRANDE PRÊMIO follows all the activities LIVE and IN REAL TIME.
