Four-time world champion was 17th at Spielberg and also complained of damage to his Aston Martin caused by debris and Pierre Gasly

Punished 5s in the Austrian GP for exceeding track limits, Sebastian Vettel classified the penalty imposed by the FIA (International Automobile Federation) as "strange". In this Sunday's race (10), won by Charles Leclerc, the regulating body adopted rigor to control the disrespect of the track in Spielberg.
"I don't know. I had three (warnings), but I didn't get a warning - so I don't know how I might have been punished. What I was told until the last one was that I had 3 warnings. Out of the blue they saw 5? It's a bit strange," justified the four-time world champion.
Vettel finished the race at the Red Bull Ring in 17th, last among the drivers who crossed the finish line. The German's race was affected by a touch from Pierre Gasly, which caused the Aston Martin member to go to the gravel, and an incident early in the race.

"The floorboard looked a little damaged to me. I hit a loose part with my front wing on the first lap because of the debris. We will look into it, but obviously it was not a good day," added Vettel, when asked why his face was dusty after the race.
"The design of the brake ducts this year is throwing all the brake dust in our faces. It's not good. Carbon is not a very healthy thing to breathe. I hope the FIA will pay attention to this soon," he finished.
The 2022 Formula One season continues in two weeks, July 22-24, at Paul Ricard in the French Grand Prix.
