Sebastian Vettel drove the FW14B before the British GP and made the British public remember the 1992 season by demonstrating the historic car - that year's champion in both the Constructors' and Drivers' World Championships with Nigel Mansell - at the circuit in Silverstone.

Owner of the 08 chassis of the historic and winning Williams' car - designed by Adrian Newey, considered until today a jewel of aerodynamics -, the four-time world champion had such an idea to celebrate the car's 30th anniversary, but had already emphasized his wish to celebrate "in a responsible manner". That is why he used carbon-neutral fuel.

After the demonstration, Vettel said he was honored and proud of the opportunity to drive the FW14B in a more sustainable way. The car was used in 13 of the 16 races in 1992, with seven pole-positions to its credit, and gave Mansell the championship with five races to spare.

"It was very special. To see him (Mansell) there, waiting for me at the end of the lap, too. I felt like a five-year-old child again. The sound - everything - took me back 30 years. Doing the lap the way we did, with the carbon-neutral fuel and trying to show all these emotions was great, but showing that we can do all this in a more responsible way was very important for me," confided Vettel.

The Williams car stood out for its onboard electronics, semi-automatic gearbox, traction control, and active suspension. On the track, it was one of the most dominant cars in history, to the point that many, including the narrator Galvão Bueno, called it the 'car from another planet'.

"Nigel (Mansell) won the GP here 30 years ago and I own that exact car. When I had the idea, I didn't want to take it for a spin and just spend resources - so I thought of a better way for us to do it. So I am very proud of the opportunity. It happened on my birthday, something I didn't realize before," concluded the four-time world champion, who turned 35 last Sunday.
