Max Verstappen complained about the balance of Red Bull's car in Friday's free practice in Hungary and believes that rain could be a factor in the race against Ferrari

Max Verstappen had a more discreet Friday (29) in Hungary compared to rivals Charles Leclerc and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz, who led both free practice sessions of the day. The Dutchman closed TL2 in fourth place with a time of 1min18s728 and admitted he was expecting more difficulties at the Budapest circuit.
In the opinion of the #1 Red Bull, the Italian rival has everything to stay ahead of the Taurinos during the whole weekend in Hungary. "As expected, today was a bit tricky, we are trying to find the right balance from high to low speed," Verstappen explained. "At some moments it worked, others it didn't. We have a bit of work to do."

"I think the Ferraris will be in front of us this weekend, it will be hard to beat them. We will work hard during the night to try to close the gap as much as possible," added the driver, who leads the Drivers' World Championship with 233 points, against Leclerc's 170.
For qualifying, the forecast is for heavy rain, which should bring a completely different scenario than the one seen in free practice. And that's what Max is betting on.
"It looks like the weather will bring an impact for tomorrow. In the dry we can work hard to compete, but it could be a different story in the rain. Who knows, we'll see," he finished.
