Max Verstappen has already been praised by Red Bull in 2022 for having matured, but you can still hear him quite sharply on the radio during races when something is not going well. As Yuki Tsunoda was considered by Helmut Marko to be the "problem child" who will undergo psychological follow-up, the reigning champion was also asked: would it be a good idea to do the same?

"I don't think I help the whole team if I get too upset in a practice session or whatever, because then everybody starts to get a bit nervous, I don't think it helps the overall performance," he commented.

"Sometimes I still get a little upset on the radio, but I don't think it influences my performance, it's more if things don't go well, if something is poorly executed or if I have a problem," he explained.

Max explains that being nervous, in fact, is what makes him like and interested in the sport. This is how he expresses his feelings, although he recognizes that there are other ways to make complaints.

"I think if the day comes when I won't get upset about those things anymore, I won't be interested in the sport anymore. For me, it's also because I care about my result and I care about what I'm delivering or performing on the weekend, and sometimes I get upset about those things," he said.

"It's not influencing my performance during the race, but of course the way you work during the weekend is to try to be as calm as possible - some people are a little calmer, some people are a little more explosive. That's how it works, but you can always work on those things," he closed.
