Tost admits Tsunoda may leave in 2023

Yuki Tsunoda's Formula One career is on the ropes, his boss has admitted.

Red Bull recently confirmed that Pierre Gasly will remain at AlphaTauri next year, but nothing was said about his teammate.

Tsunoda, who last week was called a "problem son" by Helmut Marko, is now working with a psychologist to help control his emotions during races.

"I like problem children because they can become somebody," said team boss Franz Tost. "I don't like saintly children."

According to Tost, Tsunoda is still making mistakes because he is in a "development process." However, the good news is that he is also "fast."

"If he continues like he has this season, except for the crashes, I think he has a good chance of staying with us," Tost replied when asked about Tsunoda's chances of staying in 2023.

"It depends on him. If he shows a good performance, he will stay. If not, he'll leave. Totally easy."
