Stroll crashes in Q1 in Baku and brings out the red flag in qualifying

Lance Stroll crashed in Q1 of qualifying in Baku as he tried to improve his time and move on to the second part of the session on Saturday (11)

After many escapades by drivers in free practice, Saturday brought a red flag for the weekend in Baku. During Q1 of qualifying, Lance Stroll miscalculated at turn 2 and went straight into the wall, causing a stoppage with just over two minutes to go.

Before the crash, the Aston Martin driver had slipped out and touched the nose of his car lightly on the barrier, but managed to get back out. He was on a fast lap, trying to get into Q2, but is now only 19th on the grid.
