Sir Jackie Stewart thinks Lewis Hamilton should end his Formula One career after his rough start to the season in 2022.
Speaking on the podcast , the three-time world champion urged Hamilton to consider leaving the category, stating that he can be "very successful" outside of motorsport.
"He is facing some difficulties now because he has a teammate who has been faster in qualifying so far this year, which will be difficult for him to accept," Stewart commented.
"I believe it's time for him to retire. He has the music, the culture, he loves clothes, and the fashion market would absolutely suit him."
"I am sure he will be very successful because he is making a huge amount of money, deservedly so, as he is the best of his era."
Stewart added that Hamilton has "carried the sport very well" during his time in F1 and puts him on the same level as great stars of the past.
"Lewis is in that group of Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost or maybe even Jackie Stewart," he said.
However, with Hamilton's string of titles coming to an end, Stewart insisted, "I would like to see him retire now."
"It's a shame he didn't come out on top, but I don't think that will happen now. In any case, it would be smarter to quit than to go through the pain of not being able to do what you used to do."
