The Mercedes engine once again spoke loudly in the Speed Trap of the British GP qualifying. On Saturday (2), Alexander Albon's Williams hit 300.8 km/h, showing the strength of the eight-time world champion's power unit.
Saturday's top-5 saw two more Mercedes-powered cars, with Lewis Hamilton in third place and Nicholas Latifi appearing fifth.
Red Bull engines also showed up well again. Max Verstappen came second on the Speed Trap list with 300.3 km/h, while Sergio Pérez came in fourth.

Once again, there was balance among the manufacturers, with Carlos Sainz putting the Ferrari in sixth, just 3 km/h behind Albon, while Esteban Ocon put the Alpine in seventh.
