In a recovery race and with a brand new engine, Carlos Sainz Jr. was the fastest in the Paul Ricard race, ahead of Sergio Pérez and Kevin Magnussen
Carlos Sainz Jr. was the author of the highest speed in the Speed Trap of the French GP this Sunday (24). The Spaniard, who ran in Paul Ricard with a new engine, reached 344.4 km/h and led the speed rankings.
Sergio Pérez was second in the list of top speeds, ahead of Kevin Magnussen and George Russell. Winner of the French GP, Max Verstappen reached 337 km/h and was fifth.
Pierre Gasly was sixth, ahead of Nicholas Latifi, Alex Albon, Sebastian Vettel, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas, Lance Stroll, Mick Schumacher, Guanyu Zhou, Daniel Ricciardo, and Fernando Alonso. Yuki Tsunoda, who abandoned early in the race at Paul Ricard, got only 319.3 km/h,
Lando Norris had the 18th fastest time, followed by Lewis Hamilton. Charles Leclerc, who abandoned after spinning and crashing, was last in the Speed Trap, with 310.9 km/h.
