The provisional schedule for the 9th season has been published by Formula E and the (FIA) after ratification by the FIA World Motor Racing Council and with the support of the ASNs ( - National Automobile Clubs) of each city.
The planned schedule for next season currently features 18 races between January and July 2023 on street circuits in 13 cities around the world, beating the previous record of 16 races in 10 different cities this season.

Two major motorsport fan bases will host the E-Prix for the first time. Round 4 of the championship will be held in Hyderabad, India on February 11, while fans in Brazil will see the São Paulo E-Prix on March 25 for Round 7.
Berlin remains the only city to host an E-Prix in all nine seasons of the championship, while Seoul and Jakarta will see the return of Formula E after the inaugural races this season. Record TV viewing and sold-out grandstands in Jakarta mean that the city will now host an expanded double round of racing next season.
Diriyah in Saudi Arabia will host the popular double round of night races on January 27 and 28. Monaco, Rome, and London complete the nominated racing schedule.
Alberto Longo, co-founder and championship director of Formula E said,"The schedule for the 9th season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is our most extensive and dynamic racing calendar yet and I can't wait to get started. We will continue to expand the international boundaries of all-electric street racing with the E-Prix in Sao Paulo and Hyderabad, while maintaining the extremely popular races in Diriyah, Mexico City, Berlin, Monaco, Rome and London, with Jakarta and Seoul now established on the calendar. We are also working hard to include Cape Town and a race in the USA when the provisional calendar is updated later this year."
In addition to the arrival of the long-awaited Gen3 race car - the world's first zero-carbon race car in the world's first zero-carbon sport - The Formula E grid will consist of 12 teams and 24 drivers.
Starting next season, the only place to see newcomers McLaren Racing, Maserati and ABT take on historic names in motorsport, including Porsche, Jaguar and Nissan, is on the grid of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
