Verstappen again faced problems with his rear wing. The DRS made a lot of noise on the straight, forcing Red Bull to make repairs at the start of the second free practice. Perez did not suffer from the rear wing, but TL2 was not entirely smooth.
"It was a good start to the day. TL2 was not as good as we would have liked. We probably took some wrong directions with it. We were exploring, but the time wasn't coming. We couldn't solve our problems," Perez said.
Perez optimistic for qualifying
The team was able to collect a lot of data during the longruns on the soft and medium tires. Perez, therefore, hopes that the team can still solve the problems before qualifying tomorrow.
"We have good data with both tires over the long run. I think there is good data for us to gather to analyze tonight. Hopefully we can put it all together tomorrow for qualifying." said the Mexican driver, who is coming off two excellent races in Spain and Monaco.
