Schumacher celebrates first F1 points: "I can focus on what matters now".

Mick Schumacher got the first points of his F1 career with an eighth place in the British GP. This Sunday (3), the German started from 19th on the grid and, escaping from the many confusions of the race, climbed the pack and took four points home. Schumacher valued Haas' achievement, which also had Kevin Magnussen in the top-10.

For Mick, the result is crucial in the balanced rear of the Constructors' World Championship. Even more so for the recovery in the race.

"We are very happy. Coming out of 19th and recovering, I had said that we had the speed to move forward well, and we showed that today. It was a very important result for the team, to finish with both cars in the points, it will help well in the Constructors' World Championship," he said.

Without wanting to talk too much about breaking his points drought, Schumacher summed it up by saying that he can now focus on bigger things than merely scoring for the first time.

"For my part, I'm happy that I can now focus on what's really important: the races and my driving," he added.

Mick left Nicholas Latifi as the only starter with no points this season and even surpassed Alexander Albon and Lance Stroll in the standings. Haas also passed Aston Martin, moving back to eighth place in the Constructors' World Championship.
